2019. Job Seeking…

2019 – “Well, begging for an extension of time to send in an appropriate and compelling letter of interest isn’t the best way to make a good first impression… but, I’ve been so busy. I guess what is meant to be will be. Haven’t eaten all day… need food.”

Last year, I remember laboring over a cover letter to send In to the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence when they were seeking someone to work in communications. My skill set is a good fit for an agency that has multiple member organizations, multiple websites and a mission that is near and dear to my heart. So, I sent in what I thought was a compelling letter of interest and got no reply at all.

Maybe it wasn’t meant to be. Maybe it is meant to be and it wasn’t the right time. I mean, now that I can look back in hindsight, I was still dealing with abuse at the hands of another in February of 2019. It went on for months and months after.

And the financial devastation and the housing insecurity that I’m experiencing is a ripple effect of the abuses that I endured.

If it’s Gods will, I will overcome.
